HK Blockchain Developer Hackathon 2021 Concluded Successfully

The 3-day HK Blockchain Developer Hackathon 2021 organized by MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node, Algorand Foundation and HashKey Group from Feb 26 to 28, 2021 concluded successfully.

Cyberport, Community & Universities showed their full support.  The Hackathon was kicked off on Feb 26 with the opening remarks from Prof. Silvio Micali, Founder, Algorand Foundation; Keynotes from Mr. Michel Lee, Executive President, HashKey and Dr. Raphael (Rafi) Yahalom, Affiliated Researcher at MIT – Sloan School of Management, Chief Strategy Officer at the Oxford-Hainan Research Institute.

Cyberport as a Collaboration Partner has invited its FinTech community member, Mr William Yeung, Co-Founder and CEO of MediConCen to participate in the panel discussion ‘The Future of Blockchain and Digital Assets’ moderated by Mr. Sean Lee, CEO at Algorand Foundation.  Together with panellists Mr David Zou, Associate Research Fellow at People’s Bank of China, and Mr Alessio Quaglini, CEO at Hex Trust to discuss how transformational technologies can facilitate pathways for different fields.

MIT Node is excited to recruit participants from universities in Hong Kong to join the Hackathon.  Congratulate to the 6 finalists from The University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University of winning a total of 30,000 Algorand tokens and team BTCHoli on winning the Ledger Nano!
