The MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node offers programs and activities for the MIT community in collaboration with the Hong Kong community.
The MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node carries out numerous activities to boost the innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities of MIT students, faculty, researchers, and alumni, in collaboration with the Hong Kong community. These include:
- Internship opportunities
- Educational programs
- Engagement opportunities
- Innovation-focused events
- Factory visits in the Pearl River Delta
MEMSI 2017: The MIT Entrepreneurship and Maker Skills Integrator is the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node’s flagship program. Held twice a year during IAP in January and in June, the two-week long program is a fully immersive mini-accelerator for aspiring hardware systems innovators from universities in Hong Kong and from MIT.

MIT Kickstart 2016: The inaugural program of the Node brought together 12 MIT students with 12 students from universities throughout Hong Kong for a week-long workshop in Hong Kong and Shenzhen led by a team of MIT faculty, alumni and local entrepreneurs.
