MIT Node and MIT Club of Hong Kong successfully held the special event Beyond Smart Cities on 27 Sept 6:30pm-9:30pm, 2021, at Oasis, Central Market, Central. It was our very first 2021 MIT alumni(ae) and MIT Node friends physical get-together event.
More than 60 MIT alumni(ae) and community friends from Hong Kong and Boston celebrated this hybrid kick-off event together!
Beyond Smart Cities featured a keynote speech given by MIT Professor Kent Larson, Director of the City Science group at the MIT Media Lab, on his team’s latest projects on sustainability community development via Zoom.
Our invited guest speaker, Mr. Vincent Ng, JP (吳永順 太平紳士), Senior Director of AGC Design Ltd., gave an excellent presentation, sharing his insights on Central Market design with us.
During Q&A session, participants actively put forward many good questions via Slido, and our keynote speaker’s answers inspired all participants to conceive the sustainable future of Hong Kong.
